| Job Title Software/LabVIEW Engineer Job ID Number 09-011 Company Ordnance & Tactical Systems Location Healdsburg, CA Job Category Engineering Job Description GENERAL SUMMARY: Primary role is analyzing, designing, coding, testing, debugging, integrating, documenting, and deploying software on a wide variety of in-house programs including new systems, upgrades, and modernization projects (Note: Preference given to strong LabView experience.). Software development work will include equipment command and control, User Interface development, data collection, data processing, and reporting. Candidate should be a practical hands-on engineer with experience with electromechanical devices, and understanding of interfacing with test equipment, positioning systems, equipment control and data processing. Candidate will be responsible for following the software development lifecycle methodology for software system development, installation, integration, acceptance testing, documentation, and training of system operators. PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: * Software Development: Review Requirements, Estimate Effort, Design solution (Ex. Document), Peer Review Design, Implement Code, Test Code, Debug Code, Integrate Solution, Write Documentation, and Deploy Solution. * Skills in collecting, analyzing, verifying, and manipulating data. * Ability to understand requirements documents, create derived requirements and write, edit, and/or revise documents that are part of the software development lifecycle. * Excellent communication and strong team building skills. * Ability to work closely with a diverse team including; electrical, mechanical, software, technicians, Program Managers, and Engineering Managers. Educational and Experience: Bachelors degree in Software Engineering and or equivalent field, 5-10 years of work related and educational experience. The position requires an independent, self-motivated, hands-on engineer able to work in a variety of projects on many different technologies as well as the ability to work well in a dynamic team environment.
